2010 ARRL JANUARY VHF SWEEPSTAKES
Sunday, February 28th, 2010Several members of the SDXA participated in the two day contest. The biggest signal came from the Rover entry of Mark K7HPT, new member to the SDXA, and his buddy John W7OE, well know for his cw prowess in the community.
Mark supplied these pictures of his 2nd day of operation Rover station which is located on Mica Peak, Southeast of Spokane. The first day of operation was from Kamiak Butte . The station featured operation on 6 meters, 2 meters, 222 MHz, 420 MHz, and 1.2 GHz . SSB, CW, and FM modes were used, where appropriate. Other SDXA members heard in the contest were: Steve K7AWB, Gary K7GS, Jay WA0WWW, Kirk K7EKM, George W6AEA, Bob N7AU, and Dick W7BHP.
