SDXA Incentives
SDXA has Awards (link) that are for accomplishments over several months. We now also have Incentives that are focused on single contests or events. The first one is Work SDXA Members at PJ2T in the CQ WPX SSB
For the CQ WPX SSB contest, March 24, 25, and 26, 2023 (PDT), Gary (AD7XG), Jay (AC7DC), and Robin (WA7CPA) will be operators at PJ2T. Before the contest on Wednesday and Thursday, probably between 1400 and 1800 UTC and perhaps later, they will be on the air operating as PJ2/their call. During the contest they will operate as PJ2T.
The incentive for this event will be to work them before and during the contest in order to earn a special key fob commemorating your achievement.
Here is what it takes to earn this incentive
- Earn 3 points for each PJ2/AD7XG-type QSO during their practice sessions before the contest begins. Gary, AD7XG; Jay, AC7DC; and Robin, WA7CPA; are all good in this phase. If you were to work each of them on all of the five bands they could be on, you would earn 45 points.
- Earn 1 point for each PJ2T QSO during the contest for a maximum of 6 points. PJ2T should be on 160 m through 10 m.
- If you earn at least 10 points PLUS at least one PJ2T QSO during the contest, you will qualify for a special key fob.
- Everyone who qualifies will earn the special key fob. No winner nor top dog, just unofficial bragging rites for your score.

Of course, your call sign will be there rather than Jay’s.
