SUMMER PICNIC ON JULY 12

The annual SDXA Summer picnic will be held on Saturday, July 12 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the home of Steve (K7AWB) and Peggy (W7PEG) Sala, west of Nine Mile Falls.

A map is shown below on how to get there. It’s at 14904 W. Pine Bluff Road, Nine Mile Falls, 99026. We are not close to the town of Nine Mile Falls, but actually 4.2 miles West of the Eagle’s Nest Espresso stand there. We are up on 4 Mound Prairie.

If you are coming from Spokane, you will take Nine mile Road (highway 291) North and turn left at the Seven Mile Road exit. Going up the first hill, do NOT turn onto Pine Bluff Road when you see the FIRST Pine Bluff street sign just past the ATV Park on Seven Mile Road. That lead to my house on a very dusty dirt road, the long way.

Follow Seven Mile Road as it changes its name to Four Mound Road at the Coolee Hite Road turnoff. At that point, you soon will be going under the Grand Coulee gigantic power lines over the road and starting up Spring Hill; you turn at the top of the hill onto Craig road, a 1.5 mile dirt road. At the end of Craig Road, you turn left and go for 0.5 miles to my mailbox on the right, next to my driveway.

I will have my rig on 146.58 simplex if you get lost or call me at 924-6427 .

The picnic is a potluck style so each household coming should bring something to add to the food pile. Please coordinate with Peggy so everyone does not bring Pork n’ Beans. Contact Peggy at 924-6427.

This is a RSVP event so let us know you are coming or not and how many. If you don’t, I will have to call you to confirm. We have to make sure we have enough food and chairs. In fact, some of you should bring portable chairs since we have a limited amount of spare chairs. Your friends are welcome to come too if you invite them and RSVP.

I have a dog Hondo and a cat Cossa.

We will supply the hamburgers, hotdogs, soda pop, dishes, glasses, stuff to put on the food, etc. BYOB.
