Calling Technique – Listening to the pileups on 3Y0X have confirmed a thought that I have had for many years. After repeated attempts to work a DX station, people tend to call faster and faster running the words or letters together. On CW it is fairly evident when letters run together. It is not so obvious on voice but the same thing happens there. It is vitally important that there be a slight but distinct pause between letters or words. Let each word finish before starting the next one and you will work more DX.
