Three Contest Incentive Awards for this Year
This year there are two SDXA Contest Incentive Awards for your enjoyment.
10 JA Districts – A return of this one. In it you work all 10 JA call sign districts, JA0 to JA9. If you are a Million Points member, you have to do it in a single contest. If you are not a Million Points member, you have all 10 of the contest to do it in. Any mix of bands and modes.
Oceania & Caribbean – This is a new one. You need to work 10 DXCC entities in Oceania plus 10 DXCC entities in the Caribbean. Oceania entities are an easy shot for us here in the PNW. Caribbean ones are a bit more difficult, but usually there isn’t an East Coast wall between them and us. Once again, if you are a Million Points member, you have to do it in a single contest. If you are not, you’ve got all 10 of the contests. Any mix of bands and modes.
Work Three Contests – For this incentive you need to operate in three of the SSB contests OR three of the RTTY contests OR three of the CW contests. Just for an extra bit of fun, in the IARU, which is a mixed mode contest, you can use it as a Wild Card to fill in either your needed SSB or CW contest.
The only requirement is that to have a contest qualify you’ve got to make at least 10 Qs that count in that contest. Easy-peasy in the CQWW or CQWPX ones where you can get credit for three USA ones then add in KL7, KH6, up to 10 VE provinces, plus PJ2T and you are there. The ARRL DX CW and SSB will require a bit more work because US stations do not count.
No minimum score. No ranking by score. Just work 10 in each of three contests using the mode of your choice.
