Tonight we had our annual Spokane DX Association Awards Dinner. It was great to see everyone and celebrate their achievements and service. Great time was had by all. Mike K7STO received the DX Challenge Award for the most new band fill this year, Michael K7NT received the Top Contester Award, and Jay WS7I received the President’s Award.
Frank was inducted into the CQ Contest Hall of Fame in 1999 and is a regular presenter at Contest
University and to radio clubs and conventions around the world. He retired 13 years ago as a Chief
Engineer at General Dynamics Corporation after a 45 year career in electronics research, development,
engineering and operations of military spaceborne, terrestrial, subterranean, seaborn and subsea
electronic systems.

E51MWA will be activating Manihiki Atoll in the North Cook Islands October 9-20, 2025. A team of six operators will operate CW, SSB, and FT8. The team members include Robert Fanfant, N7QT who is a veteran of many DXpeditions; YL Robin Amundson, WA7CPA; Jack Prendergast, N7JP; James McDonald, KC7EFP, and Brian Moran N9ADG.
