K7OX then made the following announcements:

1. Our application for ARRL affiliation has gone through Headquarters, but got hung up on the West Coast (ARRL Director and Section Manager) since April 6.
2. Our new web site www.sdxa.org is up and running thanks to AA7RT.
3. The online publication Daily DX has listed our club and the officers.
4. Again, Gary requested inputs for a club logo, and suggestions for wanted programs.
5. Due to the 4th of July falling on our normal meeting night, the next meeting will take place at 7 PM Thursday, July 11 at the Public Library, 44 E. Hawthorne Road, about 1 block east of Division. Due to the superior facility, many of our future meetings may be at this location.
6. The August meeting will be an outdoor BBQ out in the valley. Everyone is asked to bring their own meat to cook and a dish to share.

Those present agreed there is no present or future need to read the Secretary’s minutes since all with an E-mail address receive the information with the next meeting announcement.

WS7I, in addition to checking cards for DXCC, announced the new packet node systems operator is Glenn, N7VBW. He expects no functional changes to the operation.

Following the meeting K7OX gave a live demonstration of the local 2 meter DX packet cluster. Even N7VBW took part with transmissions from his home. It was well done and everyone gained something new.
