SDXA MEETING
\nJANUARY 4, 2006<\/p>\n
Meeting was called to order by Lamar, WA7LT at 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

\nVery good program video and presentation<\/p>\n
Lamar took a moment to thank everyone who made this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Annual Banquet
\nsuch a great success. However, there were some problems with service and
\nfood. Believe that we might need to look at a different type of arrangement
\nand place for this next December. A Buffet Style dinner has been suggested
\nas a way to possibly avoid some of the service problems that we experience
\nthis last December. There will be more discussion and in-put before the
\nnext Annual Banquet. The program that was presented by Jim, was really
\ngreat and all comments have been nothing but positive.<\/p>\n
Treasurer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s report was passed around and presented. Kirk, K7EKM, was unable
\nto be at the meeting this evening so Mary Beth has been taken dues and
\nmaking out receipts for payment. All paper work will find its way to Kirk
\nby way of Lamar.<\/p>\n
There is some discussion on the possibility of purchasing a couple of
\ntransceivers for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153field day\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (setting $300.00 aside for this purpose).<\/p>\n
We will also set aside $400.00 for Hamfest seed money again this year.
\nWe are obligated to man the ticket counter for the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hamfest\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, which means
\nthat we are expecting our membership to donate an hour or so each to assist
\nwith set up and take and manning our SDXA table as well as the ticket
\ncounter. All help will be appreciated and a big \u00e2\u20ac\u0153thank you\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in advance to
\neveryone for their assistance.<\/p>\n
Dues are due at this time. The end of February the dues are late.
\nOur membership is 42 with 20-22 as full members.<\/p>\n
There are several members of the SDXA that are meeting on 2 meters as a
\nspotting cluster on 146.58 Simplex.<\/p>\n
In the CQ magazine this month are several honorary mentions for the
\ndifferent contest and our placement in the CQ 160 Meter Contest. Some of
\nour members that are mentioned in the CQ magazine is Steve, George, Wayne
\n(if I missed names, I sincerely apologize). Congratulations everyone who
\nwas mentioned and worked on the contest.<\/p>\n
There is also a RTTY Roundup this weekend.<\/p>\n
