We looked at
what we did well and where we might improve for next year. We had graphs
and reports from the last three years to look at and compare. For the most
part we did well and would like to try to do better next year. Our turn out
was good for field day.

We took time enough to thank everyone for their part that they played in
making it a successful field day. Thank to everyone for set up, including
and especially, to the KARS group for their support and help also. The food
was considered good again this year. We are looking at planning the evening
meal on Saturday an hour earlier than we have done the last two years.
Mary Beth will be planning breakfast for Sunday morning as well next year.
We will, hopefully, be as organized with antenna’s and equipment again.
There will be discussion on whether anything can be done differently there
as well to better improve our final goal.

We had a couple of welcome guest this evening, Wilse Morgan, WX7P and Gimmie
Morgan AL7LB. It was really wonderful to have them with us and to share
with us how they do things for field day as well.

We also had 15 members present this evening as well as the two guests.
Thank you all for being there.

We are planning a table for the Ham Fest, but will also be purchasing space
on a couple more tables for sale items that have been made available to us
for additional funds. We will need help manning tables and Betsy will also
be asking for some additional help with Hamfest as well. It takes a lot of
work to have a really successful Hamfest. Thank you to everyone who is
purchasing tickets, as well as they do help the Hamfest as well. Lamar
will, also, be putting together a program for Hamfest again this year.
Thank you Lamar.

The treasurer’s Report was presented and given by Lamar (WA7LT).

Meeting Programs
September: We are honored to have Chris, KL9A as our guest speaker,
September 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Argonne Library.
