SPOKANE DX ASSOCIATION MINUTES
\nJUNE 1, 2006
\n7:00 P.M.<\/p>\n
Steve (K7AWB) called the meeting to order.<\/p>\n
We are having the program presentation at the beginning of the meeting in
\norder to show respect and consideration to the presenter and presentation.<\/p>\n
The program for this evening was given by Lamar (WA7LT). The program was on
\nthe second half of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153How High Should your Antenna Go\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. Thank you, Lamar.<\/p>\n
We had two guests this evening Ed Stuckey, AI7H, (President); and John
\nHollar, N7JU, from KARS. They have also invited us to the Rathdrum Swap
\nMeet on June 10th. Free Admission, Free Parking, and 4 or 5 Vendors. There
\nwill also be a breakfast. It will begin at 6:30 a.m. and go until 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
July 8th will be the Annual picnic at Dale and Nancy Avery\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s. Bring a dish
\nto share and the brats and burgers will be provided. The address for the
\nbarbecue is 1109 E Glencrest Dr.<\/p>\n
The treasurer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Report was presented and given by Lamar (WA7LT).<\/p>\n
General consensus at this time is that the liability insurance we have been
\nlooking at is too expensive and we will take another look at liability
\ninsurance at a later date.<\/p>\n
Pacific North West DX Convention will be in Vancouver, BC July 21, 22 and
\n23.<\/p>\n
Lamar (WA7LT) reminded us that distribution of Field Day responsibilities
\nneed to be shared and two major things need to be remembered.
\nHave a good performance socially
\nHave a lot of participation shared by all
\nThe set up will be Friday and all the help we can get will be appreciated.
\nAll gear, antennas, radios and computers as well as stations are about as
\nready as we can get them for this year. Please remember that we are parking
\non the gravel at the main entrance this year.<\/p>\n
August: VHS 5 top DX locations in the work in last 15 years will be the
\npresentation.
\nSeptember: How to put 40 meter square array by Gary, K7OX.
\nOctober and November — no program yet.<\/p>\n
No new information from Hamfest. However, Lamar will be giving a
\npresentation at Hamfest.<\/p>\n
LaMar has a lot of Antenna work this summer and would appreciate help
\nanytime someone has some free available time.<\/p>\n
