Steve called the meeting to order.<\/p>\n
The program for this evening is a video on the DXpedition FT5X0 KERGUELEN
\n2005 presented by Dale (WU7X).<\/p>\n
Next months meeting will be a presentation on the effect of antenna height
\non signal. You say that you should put your antenna as high as possible?
\nThat is not necessarily true. It depends on where you want to work into.
\nLamar will show a Potomic Valley Radio Club video from a recent seminar and
\nhis own presentation on the correct height for your application. The
\nprogram will be presented by LaMar (WA7LT).<\/p>\n

Minutes from March meeting were submitted on line. Motion to accept the
\nminutes as corrected (motion\/second\/carried) There was one error (LaMar was
\nat the meeting in March and was inadvertently left off of the list\u00e2\u20ac\u201dSorry
\nLaMar)<\/p>\n
Treasurer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Report: LaMar presented the treasurer=s report and it was
\nreceived as presented. We have $808.46 and have sent in our $400.00 seed
\nmoney to the Hamfest.<\/p>\n
We had the introduction and a few words from everyone present.<\/p>\n
There will be a CQ Magazine\u00e2\u20ac\u201dWPX Contest (CW only) the last week end in May.<\/p>\n
Our Web Page is featuring Wayne WA1PMA at this time. Steve is always
\nlooking for new pictures to feature on the Web Page, so if you have anything
\nyou would like to share, please send them to Steve (K7AWB).<\/p>\n
Saturday, Steve and other officers will meet with officers of the KARS group
\nfrom Idaho for the possibility of joining personnel for Field Day.<\/p>\n
No up-date, at this time, on the Hamfest. David (AC7MV) and Mary Beth
\n(KC7QGV) will have raffle tickets for the Hamfest raffle available for
\npurchase. This is another way that we can all provide support for the
\nHamfest.<\/p>\n
There is no major contest for this month.<\/p>\n
Gary (K7OX) won the 2005 Salmon Run Contest. Yeah! Gary!! He took top
\nhonors including the highest score in the state for a non-club entry with
\n170,154 points. Thus he wins the SDXA Plaque. The plaque was for the
\nhighest score in the mixed (CW & SSB)), low power, single operator category,
\nin the EWA Section.<\/p>\n
George (W6AEA) made 2nd highest score from Spokane County with 18,600 points
\nin the same category as Gary. Yeah! George!!<\/p>\n
