Therefore, the digits of pi go on<strong> forever<\/strong> in a seemingly random sequence.  It is the ratio of the circumference of a circle and the diameter of a circle.<\/p>\n<p>Circumference = pi times D where D is the diameter of the circle.<\/p>\n<p>The first hundred digits of PI are:<\/p>\n<p>3.1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 5820974944 5923078164 0628620899 8628034825 3421170679 &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>And I see that the restaurant Shari&#8217;s is offering a free piece of PIE for a ten dollar purchase on Pi Day to existing signed-up customers.
